During our dinner break at work tonight, the topic turned to vegetarianism and the negatives of eating meat. Now, I honestly do not care what your diet consists of, but I find myself defending meat-eaters in general because I work with a bunch of veggies. Lauren always remarks about rare disorders that you can suffer from eating meat (usually while I am taking a bite out of a burger) and another co-worker remembers fondly how he enjoyed certain fish or meat dishes, but still prefers to demonize those that eat animal flesh. My point of this rant? I have learned quickly that depending on your surroundings, you can add diet to the long list of topics to avoid in basic conversation (the other topics being religion, politics and the always important debate Christina? OR Brittany?)

That’s what it was. How could I forget ‘Bovine Spongeiform Ecephalitis’. I tell you … the vegetarians do their homework … and if you’re going to get into a conversation about food, diet, animals, disease or anything related … oh, you better bring it. Snap.

if we’re not supposed to eat animals, why are they made out of meat?
